Greek wine
Buying Greek wine? We bring Crete to you
Greek wines are not just any wines. They are made from grapes that grow nowhere else in the world. Grapes with names like Vidiano, Liatiko, Kotsifali, Romeiko, and Dafni, and they tell the story of an island with more than 4,000 years of winemaking history. At Deli Kreta, we believe that history is best appreciated in the glass.
We select our Greek wines directly from the best small wineries in Crete: from the characterful bottles of Klados and Thalassinos to the artisanal natural wines of Ampelourgein and the surprising blends of Dourakis and Garakis. Each winery has its own story, its own terroir, its own way of working, and you can taste it.
Why Greek wine from Crete?
Crete is the largest island in Greece and is home to one of Europe's richest wine traditions. The vineyards are located at altitudes of up to 1100 meters, cooled by the Mediterranean sea breeze and roasted by the Cretan sun. The result? Wines with a unique balance: fresh yet full, aromatic yet dry, accessible yet complex.
Whether you choose an elegant white Vidiano, a smooth red Kotsifali, an exciting Pet Nat, or a rare Plyto. In our collection, you will find Greek wines that you won't encounter in the supermarket.
Buying Greek wine at Deli Kreta
We are not a wholesaler. We are two enthusiasts who travel to Crete ourselves, know the winemakers, and only bring back what we ourselves love to drink. Our collection of Greek wines is small, carefully curated, and regularly expanded. Free shipping in the Netherlands and Belgium from €50,-.
