Klados Heritage 1412/20 – Assyrtiko
A powerful and refined white wine made from 100% Assyrtiko, one of Greece's most prestigious grape varieties. Sourced from the higher altitude vineyards of Agies Paraskies, this wine impressively combines freshness, minerality, and structure.
In the glass, the wine displays a bright color with a slight greenish hue. The aroma is complex and fresh, with notes of citrus and green apple, complemented by characteristic spicy and mineral nuances. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and creamy, with a distinct structure and a lively, fresh acidity that provides tension and balance. The finish is long, intense, and slightly saline, typical of this exceptional grape.
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. After controlled fermentation, the wine ages for approximately 10 months on its lees, which adds extra depth and a creamy texture. Additionally, about 10% of the wine undergoes a short maturation of approximately 3 months in oak barrels, adding subtle complexity and structure.
Perfect with seafood, shellfish, fish dishes, meat with creamy or white sauces, and a wide variety of cheeses.
