Welcome to DeliKreta, a place where passion for wine, delicious food, and the beautiful island of Crete converge. Our journey began years ago, with Boas, who has been a regular visitor to Crete for over 35 years, visiting his family home there. In the summer of 2019, Lodewijk joined Boas for a visit to Crete. He quickly shared his love for Crete and its unique products.

The Best Products from Crete to the Netherlands

Our goal is simple: we want to select the very best of Crete and introduce the whole of the Netherlands to the island's finest products. Whether it's wine, olive oil, balsamic glazes, or skincare products, we choose only the very best.

Olive oil from Crete

Greece, and Crete in particular, offers a perfect climate for wine and olive oil production. Our search for the best olive oil led us to a Dutch olive oil sommelier. With her expertise, we learned to identify the most important defects in olive oil. This led us to three top brands: Cretanthos, Pamako, and Eladaki. These olive oils have not only won multiple awards but are also used in Greece's finest restaurants.

Wines from Crete

Since 2022, we have also been importing Greek wines from Crete. Our selection now includes over 40 wines from nine different wineries. We focus primarily on small wineries that use indigenous grape varieties such as Vidiano, Muscat of Spinas, Thrapsathiri, Plyto, Malvasia di Candia, Kotsifali, Liatiko, Romeiko, and Mandilari.

Boas: "I was introduced to Cretan wines years ago at one of the island's best restaurants. Over the years, we've become friends with several winemakers who share their passion with us. Almost all the wines we import are served in the finest restaurants in Greece (and beyond) and sold in fine delis and wine shops."
