Natural sweet Greek red wine from ancient Liatiko vines
This unique natural sweet red wine is made from the indigenous Liatiko grape, sourced from over 100-year-old pre-phylloxera vines in Bebonas, Lassithi, Eastern Crete. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 800 meters, where cool nights and warm days ensure grapes with an exceptional concentration of sugars, aromas, and flavors.
After manual harvesting, the grapes are dried for 6 to 10 days in the warm Cretan sun on traditional liastres. This ancient method concentrates the natural sugars and gives the wine its rich, intense character.
Fermentation takes place exclusively with indigenous yeasts. The wine then matures on its fine lees for several months, followed by another year in stainless steel tanks. This results in a remarkably full-bodied, smooth dessert wine with impressive depth.
In the glass, you'll taste concentrated aromas of dried cherries, figs, raisins, honey, and warm spices. Its velvety structure and long, elegant finish make this wine delightful with dark chocolate, nuts, blue cheeses, or as a conclusion to a special dinner.
