The DeliKreta organic thyme honey comes from an area far away from civilization in the province of Chania on Crete.
Fylladitakis is a family business that has been keeping bees and producing organic thyme honey on Crete for 50 years. Pavlos Fylladitakis is a second-generation beekeeper. He grew up surrounded by nature and bees. Now he is at the helm of this family business. He aims to continue producing top-quality thyme honey using only traditional production methods.
Cretan honey is widely known for its purity and high nutritional value, thanks in part to Cretan flora that supports organic farming. It is one of the few areas with thyme and pine trees where no other intensive cultivation takes place. Fylladitakis owns his own production facility in Kakodiki, Chania province.
He has over 1,000 beehives spread across Crete and in selected areas where conditions are controlled. These areas are ideal for the bees to collect pure pollen and work undisturbed in the hives.
